As our dogs see us!

Wyatt and Dancer about Kathi:

Woof woof ruff bark grrr.

Pack leader is the best but if it wasn't for us, she'd never get off that thing she calls a computer. She taught us the most fun game, she calls it flyball. We also go for car rides to neat places where we can swim in the water and sniff all along the trails. Sometimes she's carrying a little machine that lets her find hidden treasures (she calls them geocaches). She's tried to train us to find them for her, but who wants to look for plastic containers without cookies in them. Pack leader also likes to spend time looking at things she calls books but she's always willing to toss a toy for us to chase.

Our favourite sounds from her (other than "who wants dinner?") are Baaaaaaaarrrrrrk, AaaaaahOooooh! "Reaaaaaady, Go!"

Sadie about Heather:

I’m glad I came along when I did as she was suffering greatly from doggy deprivation which is a very sad thing to see in a person. But with my quick assessment of the situation, I got her involved in an intensive all consuming doggy bootcamp which includes twice daily walks, constant cuddling, learning new behaviors and the fine art of canine cuisine. She has made significant progress and I’m happy to say a full recovery.

Trub and Ruff about Marg:

She’s the one who hands out the discipline around here, but can be a softy too, so we manage to get away with quite a bit. She never had too much to do with dog sports until Trub came along, and by the time Ruff was added, she was totally hooked on this one called flyball.

We get kind of tired of watching her read, but she does make up for it by taking us in the car with her most places. She’s pretty good about tossing toys for us to play with in the house, but always seems to encourage us to play with each other.

Trub and Ruff about Tony:

Well, if she’s a bit of a softy, he’s even worse! We’ve got him wrapped right around our little paws. He’s responsible for breakfast and we definitely let him know when it’s time for that - cold noses or thumps with paws when he’s asleep get his attention.

We’ve got him trained really well for snack time in the afternoon too; when the chips come out, we get right into position and he throws them to us. Heck, we don’t even have to work for them. At flyball, we greet him during warm-ups, but then pay no attention to him behind the box.

Buster about Liz:

Liz is my favourite human...There are a couple in my house...but she is by far the best...We get up early in the morning (rain or shine) and we go for a long walk..Sometimes it's a bit early for me and she REALLY has to motivate me!!!! The best times are when we go to the beach in the summer and go swimming, but I get a bit scared when I can't feel the bottom!!!

But all in all, she is a pretty cool mom, and Monday nights are a gas at the barn....But I think my mom likes the pub after practice the best!!!!

Rusty and Jackson about Jackie:

Jackie thinks that she is the pack leader! Everyday she watches “ The Dog Whisperer” and oh how life has changed!!!!

We always go for our walks, play fetch and go to fly ball. However now we must sit and be invited, wait at the door, greet guests quietly and come when called.

Every once in a while we run around like maniacs, dig holes, and arrive at the door covered in mud!!!! We are reminding Jackie that we are still and always will be Jack Russell TERRIERS!!

Rusty and Jackson about Rohn

Rohn is a lot more laid back than Jackie. We call him the snack man. This snack must be given to us when Jackie is not looking. Boy is it yummy!

Rohn likes to snuggle with us and has fun rough housing with us. He is a pretty cool guy and we love him.

Saffron & Walker about Lynn:

Our owner spoils us rotten – so, boy, we’ve trained her well. Every afternoon we have her take us on unleashed walks in the woods and when we're not doing that, we ride around in the car going on errands with her. She’s also taught us things like flyball, agility and introduced us to visiting folks as therapy dogs. Every evening around 6, we start staring intently at Lynn until she gets up and gets us our daily treats. It works every time!

Annie about Colleen:

I always have lots of fun with my owner Colleen; she spends a lot of time in the back yard when the weather is good and I help her garden, I patrol the grounds for alligator lizards and catch them when I can. One of the other hobbies of my mom's is golfing - she's obsessed!! Too bad I couldn't go with her, but dogs are forbidden even though I know I would be good at chasing down that little white ball! Colleen takes me on walks and hikes and sometimes the whole family comes -I love off leash adventures. In a nut shell, I couldn't ask for a better family to live with! Jacks Rule!!!!

Cali about Myrna:

I'm so glad we found each other. I heard they were going to bring another puppy home but it wasn't love at first sight. After Myrna found my parents pictures on a website, she knew she had to have me. I actually chose my new family when they drove to California to pick up a pup. They were going to give her one of my sisters but when Wayne asked to see me, I smothered Myrna in kisses and rest of the love story is already written. I love spending time with my family and have lots of fun when Merissa and Angela come to visit. Wayne is my snack master but Myrna challenges me all the time by keeping me busy in obedience, learning new tricks and now flyball. I wonder what she has planned for me tomorrow??????????

Buffy about Ally and Lee-Ann:

Well, I've got the big one trained pretty good now, she's getting up real early for our morning walks and breakfast and dinner are always on time. I've got her to up my treat intake but she really makes me work for them. Her ball throwing could use some work, not much distance. She's trying though and she does have that great flikker thing. The little one, well she's a bit of a push over. I bat my eyes and she's putty in my hands. And she can throw! This flyball thing is great fun, almost as much fun as chewing on the cat. I can't wait for Wednesdays!

Zeke about Darren and Stacey:

Hmm.. What can I say about the "Big Dog" and our Mom (and lone female)?? I was a little unsure of them at first, especially since my first encounter with humans wasn't great, but they have been really patient and super supportive. I think their reason for getting me into flyball was so that I would get lots of excercise and not so much them - but boy, have they been surprised! It's really cool that they also take me Mt. Biking and I'm really looking forward to some of our trips this summer. I'm training them to be healthy and it's not going too badly, however, we still need to work on them not sleeping in MY nice queen size bed and making more room on the couch so I can watch tv.....!
